Dr. Merita Hinds Inspiration for Health
Dr. Merita Jackson Hinds has enjoyed a distinguished career as a global health care provider and physician for 35 years helping patients suffering from an extraordinary range of challenges with an unparalleled record of success.
She is a Clinically Trained Doctor of Traditional Asian Medicines utilizing her skills from Korea, Japan and Hong Kong with extensive experience and training in Motor Disorders, Soft Tissue Trauma, Internal Disease, Oncology, Herbal Formulations and Nutrition, Her two years of Internship with Dr. Hok Tse from Macau Hospital in Internal Medicine with two additional years of advanced training with Dr. Arthur Kaslow in Santa Barbara, California in Orthomolecular and Integrative Medicine which has equipped her with a deep understanding of complex medical conditions utilizing both Eastern and Western .protocols for challenges such as: Multiple Sclerosis, Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS), Parkinson's, Motor Neuron Disease, Heart Disease, Endocrine Disorders ( Thyroiditis, Diabetes), Cancers and Tropical Diseases (Rat Lung, Hansen’s). In 2008, Dr. Hinds extended her practice from Hawaii and continued her work as a traveling physician to provide outreach in Samoa where she studied the effects of Hansen’s Disease. In 2018 she continued to Beirut where she multiple carcinomas, Specifically leukemia. In 2019, Dr. Hinds returned to the United States to continue her research in Motor Disorders focusing on Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) in Boston, Massachusetts while also traveling to Central Mexico to continue her outreach with patients. As an active advocate for women and children of domestic violence, in 1996 the established The Bradley Island School for under privileged children in 1996 was established and Inspiration for Health was created. As an adjunct to her practice, Dr. Hinds is also a Certified Medical Macrobiotic Chef and Counselor from the Lima Macrobiotic Culinary School in Japan and published in 2008, Inspiration for Health, My Family’s Macrobiotic Recipes In 2024, Dr. Hinds returned from her 2nd Portuguese Study Abroad Program where she walked 900 km treating individuals on the Camino throughout Portugal and Spain
While still taking private patients and consultations, Dr. Hinds is also teaching as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Program at Colorado’s Chinese Medicine University and preparing for her next international residency program.
